About The American Red Cross
The American Red Cross is a non-profit, humanitarian organization that helps people across the nation prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. Residents in the California are supported by a collaboration of 41 chapters
in local communities and more than 30,000 volunteers who mobilize relief to families affected by disasters, such as residential fires, flooding and wildfires. Leveraging its expertise in disaster and emergency response, the American Red Cross is one of the region’s largest educational providers, training a million people each year in lifesaving first aid, CPR and disaster preparedness skills through community and workplace courses across the state.
